Resolution #1: Financial Health

With the start of a New Year, we all tend to have a list of resolutions that we have been focused on since January 1.  Some people want to lose weight, exercise more, quit smoking, eat more fruits and vegetables or simply create a healthier lifestyle. These common resolutions are obviously very important, but often take the main stage while other resolutions are just as crucial.

Focusing on your physical well-being in the new year sets you up to maintain a healthier you for the entirety of the year. If you maintain your health and fitness goals and have overall good health, if you do unfortunately become ill or have unexpected health issues, that energy and positivity in your body will give you the strength and ability to recover faster. I know, within the course of 6 months, I had two knee replacements in 2018!  As many of my clients know, I am very diligent about my health; I exercise regularly and eat properly.  As a result, I credit my quick recovery to my positive energy, my overall good health and some great physical therapists.

The same philosophy of maintaining a healthy financial portfolio goes for your financial well-being.

With the volatile market at the end of last year, it brought a lot of worry and stress to many people during the holiday season. The market will never cooperate the exact way we hope it will which is why it is important to maintain a well-planned portfolio.  The start of the New Year is the ideal time to make sure your portfolio is healthy. Maintaining financial health throughout the year will bring you peace of mind knowing that you can be sustainable through times of market volatility. We will take the time to make sure that your portfolio is positioned based on your risk tolerance, time horizon, and financial goals. So when the market does end up going in the wrong direction, which it will from time to time, your portfolio is still protecting your wealth.

If you are hoping to set some new goals for your financial future in the year 2019, give me a call today. I would love the opportunity for us to sit down, discuss your objectives and start designing a portfolio specifically for you!
